We're Off to the Beach!

We leave first thing in the morning for our family vacation at the beach! The boys are so excited that I fear that any given moment one of their heads is going to spontaneously combust from the anticipation of it all.

All week Brian has been asking things like:

"Mom, when we wake up are we going on our trip!?"

"Mom, can it just be five minutes till we go on our trip?"

"Mom, I want us to go on our trip so I can have some fuuuuuuun!" (What, I'm not providing enough entertainment for you?")

"Mom, I am a fast sleeper so, pleeeeeaaaase don't forget me on our trip!" (asked with a pleading voice and clasped hands as if he were praying.) Good grief, Brian...what on earth would make you fear that I would forget you for our family vacation?!

"Mom, I am just ready for my trip!" (As the week wore on I couldn't help but notice that he had begun referring to our family vacation as, "his" trip.)

So, first thing tomorrow we are off! We are so excited to get to spend the week at the beach with Grandma and Grandad Marshman, Uncle David (Mike's brother) and Aunt Mary and cousins Holly and Erik. I just have to include this adorable picture of Holly and Erik. We are so excited for the cousins to get to know each other better.

If any burglars are reading this...please don't steal the Batman Bed...we are hoping to have it become a family heirloom.

Have a wonderful vacation with your sweet family.
Don't forget the sunscreen, oh...and Brian!
Take notes while you are gone so you can share everything with us when you return.
Have fun!

I love that they are asking you to please not forget about the vacation. So cute. I LOVE vacation and get just as excited as my kids when we are counting down the days to go somewhere. Have a great time!

Have a BLAST!

Oh, and Burglars....don't take her computer either. This blogosphere just wouldn't be the same without Lauren!

"See ya" when you get home! Be safe.

that just cracks me up because my 4 year old is the exact same way. i think it is funny when they have no concept of time and hours and days, yet they ask you "how many more days?" and "how many more minutes?" i'm like, well i could tell ya but you still would have no clue!

lala has been asking everyday "how many more days until tutu lady comes?" it is so cute to see their excitement! it is a light in there little lives to look forward to!!

have a wonderful time! cousin time is always so fun for the kids!

Please email me so I know what beach you are going to. Please also write about how their is sand everywhere, in every sheet, shower, floor, etc. and the first thing you notice when you get home is you don't have to wear shoes in the house because there is no crunchy sand on the floor!

Wow, I am so jealous of Brian's trip to the beach. I look forward to more beautiful pictures of that wonderful ocean and stories of Brian playing till he falls asleep in his food or mid-sandcastle-making.
I just might have to borrow that Batman bed, though, somehow-- it will be returned unharmed I promise.

Dang it, had I known you were leaving I would have let you borrow my "clapper." Yeah, I have one (gag gift from my brother). But it works great for turning on lights when a noise occurs outside an empty home!

Have fun.

Oh! That picture of the beach makes me salivate. Mostly because of my recent trip to the yucky Gulf of Mexico.

I can't wait for the recap. Have a great time!

This is why I don't ever tell my kids that we are going on a vacation until minutes before we leave. I can't handle the "when are we leaving" questions!!

Have SO MUCH fun!

I hope you guys have so much fun on Brian's trip!! The beach sounds heavenly and like a good break from the suffocating heat and humidity! It may still be humid at the beach, but a little cooler! Be safe! Can't wait to hear about it!

Hope you have fun and build lots of sand castles, the best part of a beach trip.

I hate when I forget my "fast sleepers." Has he seen "Home Alone" or something? How cute.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL time.

It's a good thing we don't live in Georgia or one of my boys might have alread stolen the bed.

Have fun!

I made the mistake of showing my kids on the calendar when we are going on my trip and I had to hear...

"But that's SOOOOO far away."

jessica said...

That is exactly why I don't tell my kids anything until right before it happens...like the day before.

We told them we probably won't get a baby until after Christmas and so far they haven't bugged us about when the baby is coming. Let's just hope we actually get a baby by then or I'll be in big trouble!

Have a GREAT vay-cay!

SO if I happen upon your house in your absence is everything else fair game?

Where do you go to the beach? Florida? Make sure you show the tan lines when you get back!

Waaaaaah! I want to go to the beach! I have been sooooo missing it this summer for my kids. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously. Have a blast!

I hope you are all having a great time! I don't know when you'll be back, but I'm thinking of you! Trips to the beach are always a blast.

Ha, I love the note to robbers. Stinkin' internet makes you feel so vulnerable. My sister's and my husbands are gone all the time and we always worry about mentioning it in case the suburban robbers and rapists come to steal us.

Have a great vacation. May the sick gods smile upon you and bypass your family completely!

Anxiously awaiting updates. I hope you had a blast!

Look how missed you are with all these comments!! I'm guessing you're back by now but your brain is fried and you just can't seem to get back to blogging. I feel your pain. Seriously. I do.

Lauren,
How exciting that Adam has glasses too!!! And that is the most precious thing Brian said! Of course I don't mind! I actually remind Asher about his "brothers", thats what I refer to your boys as! I tell him, remember your brothers? Adam and Evan and Brian? And he just looks around like... where are they? We should get them together soon!!!
