The other day Mike asked me to run one of our "Value Tales" books over to him at work because he has a co-worker that wanted her son to read it. On the way over Adam said to me, "Oh, I LOVE this book!!" as he opened it up and began to read it. I told him not to read in the car because he is
really prone to getting carsick. He said something along the lines of just wanting to look at it for a second...I quickly got sidetracked by traffic and forgot to push the issue of putting the book down.
Minutes later, I heard moaning coming from behind me in the van and heard Adam say weakly, "Mooooom, I think I'm gonna throw uuuuuup." I reached under the front passenger's side seat and whipped out a plastic grocery bag and tossed it toward him while I scolded him for not listening to me, and begged him to, "get it in the bag!"
He was silent for a few minutes and I turned around to check on him and burst out laughing (I know, bursting out in riotous laughter is very sensitive of me) when I saw this...

This picture is a complete re-enactment because I was unable to take a picture while driving upwards of 60 miles an hour down the Bobby Jones Expressway...but, this is what I saw. He had looped the handles of the bag over his ears and he was wearing it just as seen here. The look made me think of the feedbags that are sometimes strapped to the heads of animals.

I quickly stopped laughing, because I feared it would make him think I was making fun of him, and I began praising him for being so clever as to make the bag, "hands free". Evan then shouted from the backseat of the van, "MOM! I am the one who thought up putting the bag on your face like that--first!" Of course, Adam argued back (with his face still bagged), "No! I just thought of it now!" A full on argument then ensued.
Sorry, I am unable to say which son inspired such creative genius. Since, I still consider this item, "patent pending" from a marketing standpoint, I am not sure it really matters. I do think it would be a great selling item once it hit the market but, it is a shame everyone gets a free prototype whenever they visit the grocery store.
