Addendum To The Last Post

Mike just read my last post and all of your lovely comments and is very uneasy that the readers of this blog may give him credit for being kinder and more patient than he actually is. You see, by the time he came into the house after the, "pea structure" had been compromised, he was quite calm. Mike just shared with blog administration, (that would be me) that there was about 30 second of raised voices, fuming and tears on the part of Shmadam, quickly followed by apologies made by both parties.

I told the guy that nothing in the last post was untrue. I found him to be quite calm during my interaction with him...but...he said he, "didn't want to be called a saint when he is actually a sinner."

Isn't he cute? Oh...if he reads that last line he will probably delete it, post haste.

Thank you for your time...and good night.

A Series of Updates

.
I have been wanting to do an update series about each member of the family for a while, now...but it seems that every time I sit down to the computer to update, I stare at the screen and my brain shuts down. I'm pulling the, "forgetful pregnancy brain" card...even though anyone who knows me in real life, knows that I have had problems...uh, what was I gonna to say?...oh, yeah...I have had problems concentrating for years.
.
So...this post will be the first of a series of updates that I am going to post in increments...
.
Without further ado...and before my brain shuts down...
.
Let's start with Mike:
.
Mike has been busy with work, supporting us all in the manner that we have become accustomed (I mean, somebody has to support the air conditioning bill that I am single-handedly trying to triple). He is also busy with church and working on our garden. He built these, well...I don't know what you would call them, "structures" for the peas to climb up as the vines grow. I told him I thought that they were highly impressive. I asked him how he knew how to create them and he said, "Uh...I dunno...I just kind of did it." Well...I think they are lovely.
.
The sad part is (well, the word, "sad" is kind of relative...it depends on how you look at it)...
.
...one of our boys accidentally knocked over one of the structures after the peas had successfully began to climb the strings.
.
Now, to protect the feelings of the pea structure wrecking child, I can only tell you that his name rhymes with Shmadam...and that he was deeply sorry. I was fixing dinner when Shmadam came in bawling about how he had accidentally knocked the, "pea thing that Dad built" over with his leg. As best I can surmise, he was running through the garden and tried not to trample a row of growing plants by dodging quickly to his right and managed to trip over the edge of the structure.
.
Mike was very patient about the whole situation and only said, "Well, that one was kind of leaning to the side, anyway." (You can see in the second picture that it did have a little bit of a lean to it.)
.
Don't tell Mike this, but I am thinking of slipping Shmadam some cash as a reward for decreasing the tedious work of our pea harvesting efforts in the heat of the Georgia summer. I am not such a great gardener. Feel free to nickname me, "Mother Earth" if you like.
.
So...that's all I have for now...basically because I have already had to go to the bathroom twice since I began composing this post. I'll be back...(awwwwww, saying, "I'll be back" made me think of my brother Frank...whenever you say to him that you'll, "be back" or, "I'll see you, later" he replies dryly, "Thanks for the warning."
.
So...I'll be back...consider yourselves warned...
