My Fabulous Friend, Jaime!!!!
Seriously, I wouldn't have a blog if it weren't for her. Jaime has spent hours with me on the phone, (she lives in my homeland of Virginia) conducting intense blogging tutorial sessions. If sometimes my comments get too long on all of your blogs, you should be grateful I don't have your phone numbers, because...just ask Jaime, I am really hard to get off of the phone. I guess it has sort of come back to bite her, because I totally lifted these great pictures of her right off of her blog withour her permission. Sorry, Jaime...you give some people a little knowledge...

I love blogging for so many reasons. Besides being a great way to accomplish my family history, I have met so many amazing women and consider them my friends, even though they probably wouldn't know me if they had to pick me out of a police line-up. Living in a military town has been kind of difficult for me because, you make friends, and then they have to move away. (or Military Policeman will come and get them. whatever.) As I was telling Jaime the other day on the phone, I really appreciate having all of these amazing friends that can remain a constant for me.
Also, I love blogging because it gives me a chance to (sometimes) look like I can come up with witty comments. I am not really witty in real life. If someone says something funny I burst out into a giggling fit...and sometimes, there is snorting involved. Blogging allows me to compose myself, and think of something to say...and no one is the wiser if I have been snorting or laughing like a hyena. Blogging is really a win, win situation for me.
so...
Thank you, Jaime! This really means the world to me!
Jaime is an awesome friend to have, even without blogging tutorial sessions. She always does these thoughtful things for people. When I was having a horrible week she brought me a care package with all of my favorites just to cheer me up. Oh, and I think I should share that when I was 9 months pregnant with Brian she helped me pack my entire house because we had to be out in 12 days at the buyers' request. Most notable in that story is...Jaime was in her 8th month of pregnancy at the time of our packing. Also, when Mike had to start the new job in Georgia and we couldn't join him because our house hadn't sold yet...yeah, Jaime was there for me then, too. She brought me Wise Onion Rings to calm my nerves. She knows I am an onion ring snob. I can't eat Funyuns. They feel too sharp to me, and cut my tongue. Jaime pays attention to detail like that.
I would link Jaime's awesome blog now, so you could all go read it...but, I still haven't figured that out yet. Jaime...you can be expecting a call about, "how to link" within the next week.
Love, Ya!
Seriously, Thanks a Million!
Oh, and Jaime...I still can't get the spell check on blogger to work. I'll be calling about that, too.

I know she's great and all but a full blog post dedicated to her...I don't know about that!!! Alright, I guess you're right, it's probably the least she deserves :)
p.s.--we ALWAYS love your comments
Fun to see Jaime here. I would have to agree with you on how great she is. So glad she loves my brother!
It's so nice to have a friend like that: who remembers the little things, and goes the extra mile during the big things too!
My spell check doesn't work either. Makes me have to read my post 50 times before I publish it-- and I still probably have mistakes!
If for some reason, you can't catch Jaime to help you with the linking thing, you can email me at zandshal@msn.com and I can explain it-- if I can do it- anyone can! :)
Next you need to learn how to post your blogroll on your sidebar. I want to go check out that fun friend with her baby in a bag - I used to dream about doing that when I was pregnant. (I'd have my baby in a bag at the movie theatre, like one of those little terriers in a puppy-purse.)
Oh the blessings of good friends. Got to love them.
Linking: find the site you want to link. go to the address bar at the top and copy it. go to your post and find the button (near the not-working spell check button) that has a world with a chain-link on it. click on it. paste the site address in the space it gives you.
Easy, peasy.
I'm waiting for the post dedicated to me.
Still waiting.
Funions cut your tongue? Are there other sharp foods I should avoid?
Nor,
I would avoid the entire dessert bar at The Sizzler in Barstow. You never know what may cut your tongue there.
Yay! I love your blog and your comments. You are a great writer. Keep it up!
I also enjoy blogging but not because I need to compose myself-I like it because I can control what I say. You see, I have a disease-its called diarrhea of the mouth. In real life situations I usually say something totally innapropriate and have to appoligize to someone. Blogging saves me! What a great friend you have-YEAH Jaime!
I heart blogging too! My hubby laughs at me over it. I don't care. What does he know anyway right? ;0)
My BROTHER {a boy!} actually made me want to start blogging.
That is so sweet to have a friend be able and willing to help so much! :)
Another thing I love about blogging is getting in touch with friends who you've lost track of after various moves! ;)
Ok-posting pics that only highlight my double chin? Couldn't you post pics from when I was like 21 or something? No, thanks for the shout out--undeserved, but greatly appreciated! You ain't too bad ya own self!
Jaime,
You do not have a double chin! If you want to see a double chin, I would like to refer you to my pictures...
Oh Lauren- I do love reading everything you have to say. You are an amazing person and it's cool to feel close to you through blogs...keep it up. We should all be as good as you are at it!
How Great to have a friend like that. I love learning new tricks. It is so much fun.
Yeah...she's pretty much amazing...and versatile, too! Who else could possibly be such good friends with basically the entire family? Very talented. One of my favorite Jaime stories is when she came to my house with a little something to cheer me up because I had some horrible children at church basically chase me out of the building and then their mother came over to my house and yelled at me. And her son brought me some pumpkins that went to my FP Farm...such a great family! I love you, Jaime!!!
I just wanted to drop by to tell you that Steve and I won't be going to the Stake Dance on Sat....we didn't sign up in time for the Dinner, and it is kind-of pointless to go for the dance when my hubs doesn't dance. But we would love to get together with your family soon......I can even show you how to link in person. (Yes, I am bribing you now! LOL) just give me a shout at byrumnews(at)yahoo(dot)com
Jamie sounds sweet. You'll have to tell me what the specialist says about spellcheck because mine isn't working either.
Don't you just LOVE great friends??
Great friends through blogging . . . let's see, Jessica and I lost touch for about 11 years, then I stumbled upon her blog and stalked it for a while. She got me going. Here's to blogging friends.
Also, I personally see nothing wrong with giggling and snorting, just so you know. :)
My sister set my blog up and my friend made my banner for me. Aren't tech savy friends great?
How in the WORLD do you get someone to come help you pack when 8 months pregnant??? Whenever I've moved, everyone disappears like Speedy Gonzales. Even family! (well...in-law family; my mom is a trooper)
I think her loyal friendship says a lot about both of you.
