My Funny Valentine

Here we are in our engagement picture. It will be 14 years of wedded bliss in May.

Here we are in the present day...

As you know, Mike, I adore this picture of us. For those of you at home, this picture is special to me because it made me laugh immediately upon posing for it. You see, my mom said, "I want to get a picture of everyone and their spouse..." I am really not fond of having my picture taken. I won't bore everyone with my body image issues, but...as soon as my mom made the request for us to pose, without missing a beat, Mike jumped on my back. I stumbled forward a little...but luckily, the photo op did not end in disaster. (Namely, me falling face forward on my brother's gravel driveway) Honey, I just love this picture because I think it captures how funny you are, and how you always know how to not take things too seriously.

Happy Valentine's Day, Mike! I love you! Thanks for the past 14 years and for these wonderful guys!

Yeah, I am aware I am still behind on posting pictures. I thought you might like this action shot though, Babe.

All My Love,

Lauren

Both pictures are so cute- why do the men age but the women stay stunning?

I had the exact same engagement photo/invite as you- we were married in August '95 so we must have been so in style!

Cute pics of you guys! I'm glad you didn't fall down and get hurt. That would've been sad. :)

Happy V Day!!!

Lauren, I keep seeing your comments and profile pic on just about EVERY blog I read, so it's about time I come visit you!

In your engagement photo, you look just like Marie Osmand! (the young & gorgeous Marie) Your smile! It is the exact replica of her! Lucky.

And the same radiant smile is there in the gravel driveway photo. Happy V-Day.

Gorgeous photos! I think I need to have John pose in a pic like that with me. Then I'd have a pic of the two of us that I'd like.

Cute declaration of your love!

Lauren--I think someone is suggesting you might be a blog whore! Oh no, say it isn't so? I thought you were just posting on mine! I feel dirty!

We're on year 14, too. We beat you by a few months and got married in March. You need to get over your image issues and be in more pictures. You're beautiful!

14 years? HOLY CRAP YOU ARE OLD!!! 14 years ago I was only 12...hahaha...I do love that picture of you guys. The new one..the engagement one is a bit cheesy ;) I think that Jon and I actually did refuse to pose for mom's picture that day...funny...

And Jaime, I love your comment. You crack me up!

Saw your cute comment on Crystal's (who I just love) blog and came to meet you for myself. Excuse me for a moment while I go blow my nose - just loved Anna's poem! What darling boys you have (all of them).

My "real" blog is private, but if you're curious you can email me at
lotsostuff at hotmail dot com :)
So nice to meet you and your lovely family!

Happy late Valentines day. Your boys are about the same age as mine. I have 3 also ages 8, 5, 2. They are so much fun. I never thought I would enjoy being a mother of all boys as much as I do.

Hope to see you around the blog world!

You should ask Paige or Celia about the "Nancy Pose". You look cute in both of the pictures. Check out his red hair!

You're super duper photogenic so don't hate the camera.

Dang it, I was married seven years after you so I never got a great set of bangs in my engagement pictures.

I'm feeling gyped.

Thanks for stoping by my blog as well. I love meeting new people.

Too funny about the t-shirt. I think they should make one that says "my boys exhaust me". They do have lots of energy. We went hiking up a volcano here where we live and my older two would race ahead then wait up for us. When we got there they would rush off again not allowing us time to rest. I wish I could bottle up that energy.

Well I must get back to my tv. I'm watching Pride and Prejudice the BBC version, not my most favorite but I do like it from time to time.

was that a little Anakin I spied? Star Wars has been the theme of choice for many Halloweens around here. Our Anakin costumes have been so well loved that they now have runs and gaping holes.

Very cute pictures of all of you!
