Brian would like to share with the readers of this blog, that it is never good idea to take the leftover modeling clay from Evan's Social Studies diorama project, and put it on top of an illuminated light bulb. You may notice smoke billowing out of the top of the lampshade of, said light bulb, and smell some smoky goodness.
.
.
Brian thanks you for your time.
.
End of Public Service Announcement.
.(What is the matter with me that I think the melted modeling clay kind of looks like melted chocolate and I have a really strong urge to lick the light bulb? *sigh* Nevermind, don't answer that question...I don't actually want to know what on earth is the matter with me.)
As you were...have a good day.

Thanks Brian for the warning. I will never try that. No promises regarding the actions of my little boy, he doesn't read public service announcements yet.
At first, I thought that someone had dipped the lightbulb in chocolate and maybe you were going to tell of someone trying to lick it.
The clay makes much more sense when the culprit is a little boy not a pregnant mom.
Scary to think your lamp is on fire huh? Does it smell as bad as burned microwave popcorn?
Whatever is "wrong" with you-- I have it too! I totally want to lick the chocolate light bulb!! :)
There is never a dull moment in your house. And, it totally looks like chocolate on the light bulb! I miss you guys...
MMMM chocolate light bulb!
i dont think you have anything wrong with you. i love chocolate light bulbs. we consume them often at the smith household!
when i first saw the picture, i must admit, i thought it was chocolate!
Thanks for that announcement, the next time I get the urge to put clay on a light bulb I will stifle it. No, just say no!
Wow! Thank you for that PSA. Modeling clay and light bulbs so naturally go together it was just a matter of time that we would find ourselves in danger.
Oh and now I'm thinking chocolate too. Now I must go eat a handful of chocolate chips.
Chocolate dipped bulbs. I could get desperate enough...
Yum, it totally looks like chocolate!
Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind!
I wont be warning my boys, because they would have to try it to make sure it melts.
Maybe it's a pregnant thing because I was totally thinking chocolate as well. :)
I actually thought you were making some chocolate molds before I read everything! I'm sure that smelled delish!
LICK IT!! Better yet, go get a GIANT hershey bar and go to town.
I shouldn't even ask... because I have kids... and heaven knows they've done some weird things... but here goes anyway...
Why? What would ever possess a kid to put modeling clay on a light bulb, you know? Was he like, "hm? I wonder what would happen?" or maybe it was more like, "oh no, i need to put down this chunk of clay. Oh i know! i'll put it on the lightbulb!" Ha ha, kids are so hilarious.
And there's nothing wrong with thinking it's chocolate. It actually looks quite delicious. Probably more so to you, what with the pregnancy and all. The baby wants chocolate!
Ha! I thought it was chocolate too. I am not too good to lick chocolate off a light bulb. MOdeling clay though....I'll have to get back to you on that one.
It looks like a fudgesickle has melted on top of it. Thanks for the warning.
We learned something important this week too: Never throw your Curious George washcloth over a lampshade (especially when your mom has no idea you have done it until all the smoke alarms are going off!)
You're not alone. I thought it was quite a novel way to melt chocolate, I'd lick it too.
Don't feel badly....I thought it looked like melted chocolate ice cream too. Now I need to go to Dairy Queen and get a Midnight Truffle Blizzard....
Lauren,
Just wanted to say hi to a fellow SAD no go for the WC party tonight! (Wow, that sentence was weird!) But, really I sure wish we could both be there. I hope they have fun tonight and hope you get to do something fun. Sirri has her kindergarten program tonight and I'm excited about that. I just might be able to forget all the partying that's happening without me for a few minutes!
We will meet some day!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Lauren, It's great to catch up with you too. I've enjoyed reading your blog--you have a great way with words. Your kids are so big too!! I've not found a way to make them stop growing, but when I do, I'll let you know. My kids found the picture of them all with "superman capes" on..ie towels and remembered the whole afternoon. What fun.
Enjoy your chocolate light bulb...or maybe just a piece of chocolate candy.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sometimes, it's just so nice to know you're not alone in the insanity. :-)
well the girls just so happen to say tonight while they were in the bathtub that it is a girl and that the next baby would be a boy. then ava tells me... wait, its two babies, so i guess it can be a boy AND a girl. oh gosh... if that girl is right.... Y I K E S!!!!!!!!
Being a mom is so much fun, huh?
No wonder we sniff out chocolate like a bloodhound.
Thank you Brian for the PSA!
You never know when modeling clay and light bulbs might collide.
Now I have a sudden urge for chocolate and I am not even preggo!
ARgggghhh!
Who would have known?! Seriously.
Remember that post I did about Things You Didn't Think You Needed To Tell Your Children? This might fall into that category.
I thought that it looked like chocolate too. I would lick it if it was chocolate! :)
Boys will be Boys!
