We Hope You Had a Wonderful Christmas!

Well, it is no secret that I complain about how hot it can get in Georgia. I have been really whining up a storm this past week as temperatures reached 75 degrees on several days and it felt really muggy in our house. It just didn't feel like December to me. Now, I know that many of you in blogland would gladly change climates with me and I am aware that I shouldn't complain...but I had to post pictures of the boys with their discovery from our backyard. They found carrots still thriving in our garden that Mike has already tilled over. So, there you have it folks...you can harvest your forgotten carrots in December and have a photo shoot in front of your Christmas tree. Ah, yes...that's Georgia for ya.

Brian was game to pose for the picture, but told me firmly that he wasn't going to eat the carrot saying, "I'm just gonna pretend to eat this carrot. I don't like it because it is hairy." in reference to the spindly little roots all over it. I cleaned off all of the, "hairs" for him and told him he could eat it, but he just looked at me blankly as if to ask, "Are you unwell, mother?" I ate several of the carrots the boys harvested and they were actually quite good.

We had a really wonderful Christmas and hope that all of you did, too!

I got the PedEgg that I have been asking for. As I tried it out I was thrilled to find that it actually works! While Brian was watching me he said thoughtfully, "You could use that to cut apples, Mom."

I've got to go, now...I have to hide my PedEgg before Brian tries to julienne some apples with it.

Merry Christmas! We love you!

I love the ped egg!! Unlike you, I very much enjoy the warm Christmas. I like that the kids can go out and actually play with their presents, and that it is not so cold that caroling is miserable.

Enjoy your harvest!

That pedi egg picture with the skin coming out makes me ill.

Who eats carrots on Christmas when there are cookies to be had and calories don't count? After all I ate yesterday I could use a carrot though.

Carrots? Who would have thought?

For a minute I thought that was an Easter picture! (get it--rabbits?)

I have always wondered if those ped eggs worked.

I got the Ped Egg too!! Glad to know it works. I will have to break mine open today.

Thanks for the apple cutting tip-- mine will have to be hidden too!! :)

Why don't you go julienne some carrots with that? Maybe Brian would eat them that way :)

I'm glad you had a Merry Christmas.

I love the carrots! I know what you mean about the warm weather. It was 80 degrees in my house when I went to bed last night so I turned on the AC. In Dec that's just wrong!

Apples, huh? So funny! Merry Christmas!!

I love my ped egg! Here in Az people (who have their act together) actually plant gardens in the Fall, for a wonderful winter harvest. Someday I will be one of those people. someday...

Love your Christmas carrot shots!

Christmas carrots...I like it, definitely wouldn't find that kind of surprise here in the tundra of Washington.

I want a ped egg. I first heard about it from Lindsey and now you. I am totally going to give in to peer pressure.

(Did I spell pressure wrong...it looks funny to me. I am so sleep deprived it's not even funny!)

I'm with Brian, who wants to eat hairy carrots? You are right though, it could at least be cool in December, maybe low 60's :)

Oh, you make me so jealous! It is freezing here compared to Georgia! It's snowing like crazy & Paul & the girls love the snow... but I'll take a Georgia Christmas any day. I still haven't adjusted to the dry & cold of the West.

I just noticed you posted your address, so I'll get your card out to you! Sorry, about it being late!

Ok- there was a lot going on in that post- bubt the one thing that sticks out to me...
the Ped Egg.
I got one, too-and I don't like it at all. I guess my feet were too dry for it. But it my ate my feet up and then I dumped out all the nasty skin in the trash. I don't like to know what is coming off my feet. Much less SEE it.
