Enclosed in the package was a card with the following message...
"Congrats to you on your win for Ellie's birthday quiz! Please don't share. You worked hard for this. Love, Paige"
What was in my wonderful package, you ask? What did she not want me to share?
None other than a box of chocolates from THE See's Candies!
I was jumping around like the goofball that I am.
When I got the package I immediately e-mailed Paige to thank her, and she replied in an e-mail saying, that she hoped that it wasn't melted and, she wasn't sure if I liked chocolate but, she hoped so.
Oh, my dear Paige...don't you worry your pretty self about it. I LOVE chocolate. Paige is a smart girl, too. She made sure that See's packed ice packs in with my chocolate because she knows I live in the fiery depths of Georgia. She pays attention to details.
I was first introduced to the wonder of See's Candies on my mission. My favorite mission companion Nic was from California and used to get care packages with wonderful goodies from See's. I was a quick study. I realized how fabulous See's was immediately.
As I tried to take pictures of my prize because, of course, I wanted to blog about it... this little boy with big brown eyes kept begging me for, "Just one, Mom! Please, just one?!"
A word of warning son, these are See's Candies and Mommy is pretty serious about them. Don't get those sweet little fingers too close to Mommy's mouth, okay? It will end badly.

"It will end badly"--ha! So funny. Were any actual digits harmed in the posting of that post?
Send a mayfair chocolate my way...those are my fav's!
How can you say to know to those gorgeous brown eyes!
And who doesn't LOVE sees chocolate?...that's what I want to know!
You see... the key is to quickly take a bite out of each one so that no one wants them.
Unfortunately, kids won't really care about that (at least my kids wouldn't).
I am OBSESSED with See's chocolates. Enjoy every single bite. You deserve them!
Ooh, my Mom got a box when she was in the hospital last week. I was sure to visit her every day!Mmmmm.
Yay for you on winning! What a fun way to get a scrumptious box of chocolates! Looks like lots of fun, and I love the picture of Brian holding up "just one" finger. =)
Oooh, I'm jealous! And you are a way nice mom to share. I probably would have hidden them under my bed until I knew I was alone, then played stupid when the kids asked why there was chocolate on the corners of my mouth...
Someone in MO will be taking a little trip to Sees today. I blame Paige. Darn her!
OOOoooooo, yummmmmm. Can you really eat just one though? Does your son not understand the true love of chocolate? :0)
So impressed with Paige's attention to details there. Especially the ice packs. nice touch! You are one lucky lady!
MMMmmm, delish!
I would have thought they would have melted too. How very clever!
You deserve them! Enjoy...
i live near you, you know. it is quite dangerous for me to know that you have Sees candy. If it has gone missing during the night... dont blame your poor family!!!!
Okay, next Paige contest I really am going to try to win if See's is involved.
Every year my dad would get my mom a 2 lb box of See's chocolate for Christmas. My poor mom, she maybe got an eighth of the chocolate after me and my siblings snuck into and devoured it all.
My weakness is anything choc. Glad you won the contest and most importantly- the Chocolate!!!
I LOVE See's candies too. I didn't realize they weren't nationwide. I am very protective of my "good chocolate" when my kids are around. I really try to steer them toward the junkie tootsie rolls or something.
mmmmm, see's....... When I think of you, I often think of foil wrapped jack-o-lanterns. Ahhhh.
Congratulations!!!
Glad you won...sorry to hear you are not sharing!!!
I love that you are keeping them for yourself. You rock. All kids need to understand that moms need their things just like kids need their things. I'm not going in playing with Polly Pockets now am I? Nor am I eating their fruit snacks. Therefore, you do not have to share your Sees.
Oh yeah, I'm smart about the ice packs. Except that's just a happy surprise! Enjoy-
Oooh, I love See's! Lucky you! (And I hope you stuck to your guns and didn't share--those boys wouldn't even come close to appreciating!)
See's chocolate technique: Procure butter knife. Slice each piece to find fudgy truffle. Eat outsides off all gross pieces. Give what's left of yucky (maple) middles to children.
I really want to win a box of those chocolates. I mean, really.
I wonder if she'll do another contest with really easy answers that only I'd know the answers to. Do you think she'll do it? Do you?
Oh I'm so full of envy. I love SEE'S
Yay for you! Love chocolate!!
Enjoy every single bite!! I love your blog!!
