You may find this hard to believe but, the other day Adam and Brian got into an argument. You may also find this hard to believe...but I was trying ignore them. After a few minutes of aggressive banter between them, Brian felt that he was proven right about whatever they were arguing about and Adam was wrong because, as Adam fled the room angrily Brian called to him:
"HA...HA, ADAM!"
Then I heard Brian say to himself, "Ha.....Ha." and he began making a "huffing noise" like, "Huuuh, huuh, huuuuuh..." then he turned to me with a beaming smile and announced excitedly, "Mom! 'HA' starts with H!" I was gleeful as I realized that the aforementioned, "huffing" noises were my Brian trying to sound out the word, "HA".
Well Brian, if Kindergarten is teaching you nothing else...you are learning the phonetics of properly insulting Adam.

that is so funny!! great story, Lauren. He'll really enjoy reading that about himself someday.
I. Love. That. If only each and every argument between my boys could be educational. Well, aside from learning that teasing older brothers could result in a wedgie...Not so sure that counts.
If that were true at my house, my girls are going to be spelling STOP first.
As in STOP IT JAXON!!!!
S-T-O-P. :)
He's brilliant and cute.
that's awesome! i love it!
i've been so excited lately as our little lala, of her own accord, gets her workbools out daily to "study"! she doesn't turn 5 until next month, therefore was unable to enroll in kindergarten, but at the rate that she is learning to write and sound out her letters, she'll be ready for 1st grade next year. of course she won't be in 1st grade, but i am just excited at her excitement to learn!
That is so funny and so cute! He's a smart one that one!
That is h-h-h-hysterical! With a capital H!
Whatever works - you should tell his teacher that story.
How adorable! Glad to hear thaat kindergartenn is getting results lredy! :)
Smart boy! Way to turn a negative into a positive! At my house they would learn how to spell "Moooooo-ooommmmmm!"
What an awesome kid!!! That is a great story!!!
ahhh... he is so smart! just think, the very next stage will be "adam you are a punk- P-U-N-K, punk!" oh, its sooo close!
Very cute. Love the picture too.
Could those eyes be anymore gorgeous!? I don't think so...
Funny, funny story.
Wow Kindergarten teaches some really USEFUL lessons! Ha ha!
Way to turn a negative into a positive! You are so funny. At least they're not spelling swear words, right?
Your blog will be a fantastic gold mine of stories for your kids when they're older. This is a great one. Those little ones are always thinking...
Better than teaching him how to pronounce swear words. There's still time.
well yeah, if we could all properly insult... then the teachers are doing their jobs.
ha. Too funny.
He is so cute and smart! What a perfect combo.
I love it!
First grade will teach him about beat the crap of Adam...I mean, physics...
"beating". Hopefully, they will teach him grammar too.
Love it!
Now that mine are starting to read, they figured out that the book "The Gas We Pass" isn't the story of "toots." Darn.
PERFECT! I love it when kids learn at random moments...it lets me know that something is sinking in.
Take THAT, Dad! :-) What a doll!
I have to agree with you. At least he's learning something, right? Hilarious.
Just catching up on your ever so popular blog while the baby is crying and Colin can't calm him. I do have to laugh a little. I loved the sobbing post and Mike is such a great husband. I am glad he cheered you up and I was completely relating to your shrieking and crying and the kids running off and trying to calm them the moment you are completely falling apart. Isn't being a mom so great some days? Colin has Cole calm now so I think I will go get him and go to bed.
